It's decision day 2012 and every vote will be crucial to both President Obama and GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney's campaigns.

More than one in every three person cast their vote before polling stations opened this morning and the president leads by 52 to 45 percent among early votes.

In Colorado, nearly 1.9 million votes have been cast before today. The numbers show a tight race, 34.3 percent voting for the Democrats and 36.1 percent voting Republican. About 30 percent voted for another candidate. In 2008, 1.7 million early votes were cast in Colorado and Obama beat his challenger by nine points.

Almost 4.5 million people in Florida has cast their vote for either Romney or Obama. Early voting tallies show that 42.9 percent voted Democrats and 39.1 percent voted Republican. Nearly 4.4 million people voted early in Florida in 2008 and Obama won by about three points.

In Iowa, more than 640,000 people have already voted for their candidate of choice and it appears that the state is leaning Obama - 42.3 percent has voted Democratic and 32.1 percent Republican.

In Iowa, there are six electoral votes up for grabs and Obama leads his challenger by 2.4 points.

The president and the first lady ended their campaigning in Iowa last night.

In Ohio, almost 1.8 million people have voted; almost 428,000 in Virginia and nearly 413,000 in Wisconsin.
