Ex-Senator Harry Reid Says Russia Behind Swarms Of UFOs Spotted Recently

In recent weeks, images of exotic, mysterious objects in close proximity to US military installations have dominated headlines and national newscasts, and former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is delighted, but not shocked, by a flurry of UFO-related media attention.

The former US senator claims that Vladimir Putin is behind the swarms of UFOs seen circling American warships. After the authenticity of the leaked footage was proven, Harry Reid pointed fingers squarely at the Russian government, the Sun reported.

In an interview with Mystery Wire, delivering exclusive reports on Areas 51 and UFOs, Reid said that the recent mysterious night-vision video of unidentified flickering lights and another warship-like objects floating above can be credited to the Russian government.

A US Navy destroyer used night vision cameras to capture the video, which showed some obscure blinking lights in the sky. The images were leaked from a Pentagon UFO investigation by the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, which has been collecting evidence for a congressional report due in June.

“They’re coming in swarms, swarms, like bees like insects, so many of them,” Reid said about the UFOs. "Always remember Russia, the Soviet Union, is run by a man who ran the KGB," he said when asked if the UFOs might be advanced Chinese technology.

He said that at one point, the Russian government had as many as 30,000 KGB agents, Russia's primary security agency and that leaves no doubt that Russia has a role to play in this.

Reid also insists the US government to have a separate committee that oversees matters to do with UFOs, as he claims that this is going to be an issue in the future. “I believe that there should be an ongoing entity, within the Pentagon would be the best place for it, whose sole job is to stay on top of the issue of UFOs,” he said.

Nick Pope, a UFO investigator for the UK Ministry of Defence, previously told The Sun that the objects could be hypersonic drones from China or Russia. However, he suggests that even the US government might be oblivious of who is behind the mysterious events, New York Post reported.

The photographs, first captured by filmmaker Jeremy Corbell, in 2019 show unidentified objects flying over four US destroyers, including the USS Kidd Navy destroyer. The investigation to determine the source and intent is ongoing.
