Although they didn’t officially released the baby name, TMZ got a hold of Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling’s baby’s birth certificate, and revealed that the name of probably one of the most beautiful babies to ever live on this earth is… Esmeralda Amada Gosling! Yes, Eva and Ryan went the Latino way with the moniker, however, little Esmeralda does have her dad’s last name. Does this mean that Hollywood’s most private couple could be tying the knot soon? We sure hope so!

The birth certificate confirms that Eva and Ryan welcomed baby Esmeralda into the world on September 12, 2014 in Santa Monica. The couple has kept a very low profile ever since they started dating, after meeting on the set of “The Place Beyond The Pines” in 2011. However, rumors of a possible pregnancy began in February, when Mendes refused to pass through a full-body scanner at LAX airport in Los Angeles. Those were denied at the time. The rumors surfaced back again in July and around the same time she was spotted by paparazzi trying to cover up her baby bump in any way possible!

Eventually they were confirmed when reports of the birth of Esmeralda made headlines all over the country. As for the baby name, many news outlets are reporting that it is inspired on Disney’s “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” as Quasimodo’s love interest is a gypsy by the name Esmeralda. However, we know that’s a very common name in the Latino culture, and Eva, being a strong Latina woman, probably wanted a name that goes with her roots. And who knows? Maybe Eva even got her inspiration from the 1997 remake of the 1970 telenovela!

The baby’s middle name, Amada, might have come from Amada Juárez, Eva’s character in the crime drama “We Own the Night.” Although the inspiration of the child’s name is not confirmed, we’re so happy that Eva showcased her Latin heritage through the moniker, staying true to her roots and proving once more that she’s a proud Latina!
