Eva Longoria's new project, a Lifetime novela about a group of sassy maids called "Devious Maids," won't be forgetting its Latino roots.

The show is based on a novela that originally aired on Telemundo entitled "Ellas Son La Alergria Del Hogar," or "They Are The Joy Of The Home." It will have a trailer in English and Spanish, set for release June 9, two week before the show is expected to air. After its premiere, the network will make all programs available afterward in English and in Spanish. Viewers with standard definition on their TVs can click over to Spanish via the second audio program service, Show Biz Cafe reported.

Rob Sharenow, executive vice president of Lifetime, told reporters that he is thrilled that the program will be more accessible to Latino viewers.

"We are thrilled to work with our distribution partners on making Devious Maids available in both English and Spanish to maximize the show's crossover appeal among the broadest range of their customers," he said.

The success of this program is of the utmost importance for Longoria, whose first endeavor as a producer -- a show called "Ready To Love" -- failed miserably from the start. The show is set to premiere June 23 at 10 p.m. EST.
