Eva Longoria and boyfriend José Bastón’s love story began when the “Telenovela” star was introduced to the Televisa executive through a mutual friend in 2013, but during a recent interview with People, the sexy Latina confesses it wasn’t love at first sight.
“I was getting out of a bad relationship, and he was getting out of a relationship, so there wasn’t a connection,” she told People. “So, we had a pleasant conversation but there was no real connection.”
Luckily for these two love birds, the same friend decided to re-introduce them 6 months later and that’s when the Mexican-American actress admits to have seen fireworks, felt butterflies, and all the other clichés that come with falling in love at first, well, second sight.
“I had no memory of meeting him the first time, but we had immediate sparks.” Longoria told the magazine. “But the second time we met it was like the cliché angels singing and there was a glow around him and it was immediate chemistry.”
Longoria had previously told several media that “kids and marriage were not in the horizon,” but after spending four hours with the Mexican hunk on their first date, the 40-year-old actress began singing a different tune. “He was the most handsome man I’d ever seen,” she said of her beau. “He was so charismatic, charming, sweet and funny. I thought, ‘Who is this guy?!’”
There’s no doubt that fate has its ways of bringing people together, Eva got engaged to the father of three last week in Dubai. Fans first heard the news when the former “Desperate Housewives” star shared a post of the amazing moment on her personal Instagram account, “Ummmm so this happened…#Engaged #Dubai #Happiness,” she wrote next to a photo of them embracing in the dessert.
There’s no doubt that when something is meant to be, it will be. Congratulations to the happy couple!
