"House of Cards" star Kevin Spacey and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto have met in the Mexican resort town of Cancun in the state of Quintana Roo. Spacey gave Peña Nieto a signed copy of the "House of Cards" series DVD with "From one president to another." Spacey himself shared an image of himself with the Mexican president on his Twitter account with the caption "One president is real." He also apparently revealed the ending of "House of Cards" Season 3!
Kevin Spacey and Enrique Peña Nieto met in Cancún for the 'Tianguis Turístico,' an annual meeting to discuss tourism in Mexico. In "House of Cards," Kevin Spacey plays a character who works as a legislator but has serious ambitions on the presidency and will do anything to get there.
Peña Nieto tweeted his own image of the meeting and said "It was a pleasure meeting actor @KevinSpacey last night in Cancun," before apologizing to fans of the show that he could not reveal any "House of Cards" spoilers.
The Governor of Quintana Roo, Roberto Borge also published a photo of himself with actor Kevin Spacey, as well as the Secretary of Tourism, Claudia Ruíz, Finances, Luis Videgaray and President Peña Nieto. The President had earlier in the day announced that all internal checkpoints throughout the country would be closed, which, he said, would facor not just visitors and tourists but also residents who are subject to customs inspections on a regular basis.
