Rafael Amaya is back on the new season of "El Señor De Los Cielos," playing the detestable drug lord Aurelio Casillas. Although, Amaya plays the lead character that doesn't have a moral compass, his character has become endearing. This narco series that glamourizes the underworld has been a hit for Telemundo since it premiered three years ago, now in its Season 4, it plans to continue its momentum. Production of this series was halted late last year, when reports of its star overdosing on drugs surfaced. Rumors were put to rest when the actor and the network issued a statement and denounced the publication, citing Amaya had been hard at work on "El Señor" and he was exhausted. This has only generated more buzz around the telenovela and this is the reasons you should watch premiere tonight at 10pm ET/PT...
1. Does Aurelio Casillas Die? With death rumors of the star, this season has been promoted with death front and center. Death has always been a focal point in this series and who knows what will happen to its start. There were rumors that Casillas would die at the end of Season 4, but we don't think that's true as a Season 5 is being planned. However, "Señora Acero" is planning a third season without Blanca Soto, so anything is possible. We will have to continue watching "El Señor De Los Cielos" to see what happens.
2. Rutila Casillas: In the promos we've seen for Season 4, Rutila's life is at risk. Could it be that they kill her off? We already know Chema Venegas is not going to be part of this season, so what will Rutila do? We liked that she was a strong woman, and this will only fuel the misogynistic views the writers have against women if they end up killing her.
3. Mónica Robles: At least we have Doña Moniquita as a strong woman in this series. If it wasn't for her, we don't know what would happen. We love how Robles doesn't take any "ish" from Aurelio, although she does fear him, let's remember he once left her for dead during Season 1. Mónica has a heart at the end of the day, although she is involved in this sick world.
4. Good People Win Please: Let's hope that this season, we have some of the good people win. We know this is the anti-heroe telenovela perspective, but throw us a bone. The world is full of terrorist and especially these last couple of weeks, bombs exploding everywhere, we need to have the bad guys lose, especially in fiction, to give us hope.
5. Gabriel Coronel: This hottie is joining this season, we can't wait to see what he does.
"El Señor De Los Cielos" Season 4 premieres on Monday, March 28 at 10pm ET/PT on Telemundo. Will you be watching?
