Drug Bust Uncovers 'Visibly Startled' Garden Gnome Made Entirely of Ecstasy

Police in the Netherlands discovered a "visibly startled" garden gnome made entirely of MDMA during a drug bust.

The gnome, seized by the Dongemond Police Team in Noord-Brabant, stands out from other busts due to its unusual shape and size, weighing at 2 kilograms (just over 4 pounds), according to BBC.

The statue was hidden among a stash of drugs in an ongoing effort to combat narcotics in the region, BBC reported.

On Friday, the Dutch police shared the find on Facebook, without specifying how they found it, saying it was "in a strange place."

"Many of us know that drugs come in many shapes and sizes, but every now and then we come across special things. For example, during this find, a gnome was found among various, presumably, narcotics. In itself a strange place to keep your garden gnome, which is why we decided to test it for possible narcotics," the department wrote.

The Netherlands remains one of the world's top producers of MDMA.
