The feud that former U.S. President Donald Trump has with billionaire Elon Musk has continued to heat up further, with a post from Trump on Tuesday mocking the billionaire’s companies and products while claiming that Musk would “drop to his knees and beg” for Trump.

The feud, which began when Trump blasted Musk at a rally in Alaska, claiming that Musk had told him that he voted for him before calling him a “bullsh*t artist” and mocking the way he backed out of his Twitter deal, according to CNBC News.

In response, Musk had tweeted on Monday that Trump needed to consider retirement from politics while asking for Democrats to “stop the attack,” which might be a reference to the current investigation behind the Jan. 6 Insurrection attempt that was allegedly caused by Trump, the Daily Beast reported.

“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” Musk said. “Dems should also call off the attack—don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.”

Trump, however, appeared to have been insulted by the slight on Twitter, and posted a response on Tuesday evening on his own social media platform Truth Social by recalling the time that Musk had visited Trump in the White House during his Presidency.

“When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he’d be worthless,” Trump wrote. “[A]nd telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it.”

“Now Elon should focus on getting himself out of the Twitter mess because he could owe $44 billion for something that’s perhaps worthless. Also, lots of competition for electric cars!”

Musk responded to this on Twitter with a “lmaooo” as well as a gif of Homer Simpson’s father Abraham Simpson in reference to the “Old Man Yells at Cloud” meme. He has otherwise failed to respond to any of Trump’s talking points in his statement.
