Donald Trump credited McDonalds French fries for his full head of hair on Wednesday. His remark came on the heels of a Sunday report that the president had written off $70,000 in hairstyling from his taxes.

On his way to Minneapolis on Air Force One on Wednesday, Donald Trump shared a 2018 tweet from former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer suggesting that McDonald’s French fries could not cure baldness. In the tweet, Fleischer shared an image of the fast food giant’s fries with a text claiming that a chemical found in it could cure baldness. “It doesn’t work,” captioned Fleischer.

Trump, however, said he was living proof it could. Sharing Ari’s tweet, Trump wrote, “No wonder I didn’t lose my hair!” Donald Trump’s love for McDonald’s is so legendary that he even serves it to renowned guests at the White House. Trump also revealed earlier that he prefers eating fast food because he is paranoid about being poisoned.

Trump’s hair last made headlines in July when he was photographed with a gray do. However, many have long been fascinated by his beautifully sculpted mane.

A previous report suggested that Trump’s hairstyle was the product of a $60,000 baldness intervention that laced a donor’s hair on top of the president’s locks. However, a baldness expert later said it’s more likely Trump had a hair transplant.

In Feb. 2018, Trump revealed he had a bald spot after his medical report had confirmed that he was taking Propecia for male-pattern hair loss. “I try like hell to hide that bald spot folks, I work hard at it,” he said at the time.

In his book “Fire and Fury,” Michael Wolff also revealed how Ivanka Trump would explain to friends how Trump’s hairdo worked. “She often described the mechanics behind it to friends: an absolutely clean pate—a contained island after scalp-reduction surgery—surrounded by a furry circle of hair around the sides and in front, from which all ends are drawn up to meet in the center and then swept back and secured by a stiffening spray,” he wrote.
