We're still getting to know the new Doctor played by Peter Capaldi, but it looks like the 56-year-old Scottish actor is going to completely own his interpretation as an older, grumpier, and less romantic Doctor. That said, many fans are still trying to get used to the new tone of "Doctor Who." Under the direction of Ben Wheatley, the "Doctor Who" Season 8 opening episode is described as noticeably darker and moodier. What's more, the first episode, titled "Deep Breath," is described as quieter and less exciting than the new Doctor introductions of the past. "Doctor Who" Season 8 episode 2, titled "Into The Dalek," will air on Saturday August 30 at BBC One.
In "Doctor Who" Season 8 episode 2, "Into the Dalek," the Twelth Doctor will face the evil Daleks. According to sneak previews, the new episode will be one of the darkest episodes yet as executive producer Steven Moffat hints that "Into the Dalek" will take place in the most dangerous place in the universe. When Clara asked where they will be going in the "Into the Dalek" preview, the Doctor simply responds: "To darkness."
Essentially, the upcoming episode of "Doctor Who" will involve a Dalek fleet that surrounds a lone rebel ship. Now, it is up to the Doctor to face the evil Daleks and save the endangered ship.
