Reality star Douglas Wooten, who’s best known for his appearance on “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 3,” faces multiple criminal charges in connection to the death of Marcos Ramirez, a 54-year-old Georgia man.
Federal authorities responded to the alerts of a crime at around 8:45 p.m. near the 21 Mark Hall Drive on Jan. 4. Upon their arrival at the scene, it was discovered that Ramirez had been fatally shot. Officials reportedly issued a warrant against Wooten, 39, and three others the following day, for their alleged involvement in the murder as part of the death investigation.
A press release by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations further elaborated: “On Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, the GBI arrested Kegan B. Bennett, 39, of Hazlehurst, for Felony Murder, Home Invasion, Armed Robbery; Denver L. Wooten, 18, of Hazlehurst, for Felony Murder, Home Invasion, Armed Robbery; and Verlyttia Ivory, 32, of Hazlehurst, for Felony Murder, Home Invasion, Armed Robbery, Cruelty to Children 2nd Degree.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Douglas L. Wooten, 39, of Hazlehurst, for Felony Murder, Home Invasion, Armed Robbery, Cruelty to Children 2nd Degree, who is currently wanted by police (photo attached). These arrests are in connection to the death of Marcos Ramirez.”
Officials reported that Wooten aka DJ Doug was arrested on January 7, and was booked into Jeff Davis County Jail after turning himself in in Hazlehurst, Georgia. Wooten currently charges with felony murder, home invasion, armed robbery, and cruelty to children in the second degree in connection to the death, according to the bureau. The release states that Ramirez’s body will be transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
Details pertaining to his charges and arrest were released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. Further probe into the matter is underway. As per a report on MSN News, Wooter’s attorney was yet to be identified.
