In the movie, the protagonists follow Rengoku Kyojuro, the Pillar of Fire, who has been entrusted with solving the strange infinite train where people have been known to disappear.
They battle with Lower Moon One, Enmu, who plans on entering the heroes’ dreams and destroy their spiritual cores. When Enmu attached itself to the train, it’s was up to Tanjiro and Inosuke to sever its neck in the engine room.
When the Upper Moon Three, Akaza, arrived, it was a showdown between him and Kyojuro. However, Akaza fled, leaving Kyojuro fatally wounded, but not long before he told the heroes to go to his estate and learn about the flame techniques for battle.
According to Crunchyroll, the anime series has been renewed for a second season, which will air in 2021. The story will pick up on the aftermath of “Mugen Train” in Yoshiwara red-light district where demon activities run rampant.
Readers of the manga know how this Entertainment District Arc goes and they’re probably looking forward for the battle between Upper Rank Six Daki and Gyutaro. Who knew if this will get to pen out?
What’s more, Nezuko might have her demon marks shown soon, while Tanjiro will unravel his Demon Slayer Mark.
