Days after there were rumors about a feud, Demi Lovato has come out in support of Taylor Swift. The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer took to social media to support the album “Lover,” and she also got a public response for the show of love.
Lovato raised a few eyebrows last week when she wrote on social media that she was skipping the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards “for a REASON.” Many of her fans saw this as a reference to her trying to avoid Swift at the event. The clarification has now come on social media, and the two singers appear to have become close because of it.
In an Instagram Story post, Lovato said that life is too short not to support other women. If there was any doubt that the post was intended to send some good vibes to Swift, the singer specifically mentioned that Swift has done a “great job” in releasing “great music.”
Swift read the post and she too responded on her Instagram Story page. “This is so awesome & put the biggest smile on my face,” the “Love Story” singer wrote. She ended the post with a thank you note to Lovato and a picture of two cats hugging.
As far as the rumors about the feud between the two singers are concerned, Lovato made it clear that she was not shading anyone when she wrote about why she wasn’t going to the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, US Weekly reported. She explained on Instagram that the “reason” why she didn’t attend the event was because she is living her “dream life” with “Will & Grace.” She also asked her fans to stop “reaching” when thinking up explanations for the previous post.
Lovato recently announced that she has joined the final season of “Will and Grace.” She will be playing a character called Jenny.
