"Batman" remains a popular figure and with a special panel focused on "DC Comics-Batman," fans at Comic Con in NYC and those watching on-line will certainly be in for a treat this Friday as they learn about the latest additions and story lines. DC Comics/Batman

While many of the popular events at the current Comic Con in New York will focus on popular television dramas and movies, a large quantity of panel's that take place will feature some of the most beloved comic books and comic series that are either currently on the market or close to a release date. Fans of the largest pop culture event on the East Coast of the United States will also have the opportunity to learn about the latest fantasy books that take a different path from successful chains such as "Percy Jackson" and "Harry Potter," leaving many options on the table for those attending the event at NYC's Javits Center or those electing to watch various panel discussions from home via online live stream. This will providing followers with an opportunity to see what goes in to making some of the most successful comics on the market.

Writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo will be headlining a discussion focusing on the creative designs and process behind the development of 'Batman: Zero Year,' a comic book series published by DC Comics that first ran in June of 2013. With guest speakers set to include James Tynion IV (writer), John Layman (writer), Peter Tomasi (writer/editor) and Ann Nocenti (writer/editor) along with Snyder and Capullo, this panel discussion will also give insight into how the latest storyline leaks into the actions of the Caped Crusader in other works. In addition to learning about the aforementioned details, fans and viewers will be treated to hints at what the future holds for the Dark Knight Detective.
