Little has been heard about the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic by Aaron Sorkin but now new rumors have shed some light on the upcoming project. The Wrap and various sites are reporting that David Fincher wants Oscar-winning actor Christian Bale, most notable for his role as Batman in “The Dark Knight Trilogy,” is the directors first choice. It is also being said that Bale’s participation in the project is key to Fincher’s involvement as director for the biopic.
The film is said to be based on Walter Issacson’s Steve Jobs biography and is slated to start production in early 2015. This definitely means we’re still a good ways off from seeing this film hit the big screen. If the film can get both Bale and Fincher then it may have the success of the hugely-popular film “The Social Network” by Sorkin and Fincher.
The Wrap also reports Bale has not been approached to play Jobs yet, since the actor is taking a brief break from the acting business to spend time with his family since wrapping the role of Moses in Ridley Scott's “Exodus.”
