The wait for hardcore reggaeton lovers is over, as renowned producers Luny Tunes dropped "Mayor Que Yo 3." The new urban single follows the producers' 2005 smash hit single "Mayor Que Yo," featuring Daddy Yankee, Tony Tun Tun, Baby Ranks, Wisin & Yandel and Hector "El Father." It also follows the 2006 sequel, "Mayor Que Yo 2." A decade after the successful songs were released, the Dominican producers Francisco Saldaña (Luny) and Víctor Cabrera (Tunes), have launched its third part featuring Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Wisin, and Yandel.
"This is the time. The genre is at its peak," says the producer Luny in a statement. "The fans have waited patiently and we can honestly say that this track is the most popular track in the genre." Luny also added that getting the four artists together was quite challenging due to their "complicated schedule" and "multiple commitments."
"At first we were able to get Don Omar, with the help of Raphy Pina, his management. Wisin signed on next, then Yandel joined...we then made a public invitation to Daddy Yankee through social media. The fans intervened and somehow this became the way our message reached him. And he accepted. We are pleased to have achieved the collaboration especially because we know that the fans and the industry will be pleased with this work."
"Mayor Que Yo 3," which is already available on all digital platforms, marks Luny Tunes comeback to the music scene. "The genre is experiencing a moment of glory for us and this song means a solid return as producers. In the last couple of years we have not stopped working with many artists and produced hundreds of tracks, but this one is ours," adds Luny. The single is part of "Mas Flox 3."
