Cristiano Ronaldo has been once again involved in new transfer rumors. There are speculations that Portuguese footballer is planning a move to Paris Saint-Germain to team up with Lionel Messi and Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior for next season.
According to Football Transfers, Ronaldo will leave Manchester United if they do not qualify for the Champions League next season, with a move to PSG "high on his agenda." The report also included that a return to Serie A with Juventus has been ruled out, while a reunion with Sporting Lisbon is also highly unlikely. There is a possibility that Ronaldo would be seen in a sensational team up with Messi and Neymar at the Ligue 1 giants for a dream forward line.
Some PSG players have also been reported to miss out on the Champions League next season, with 23-year-old footballer, Kylian Mbappe's confirmed departure from the French giants; he is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer window at the end of the season.
Ronaldo flew to Portugal after being dropped out of Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City. Interim boss Ralf Rangnick confirmed his absence was due to a hip injury, however, some reports claimed that CR7 was not injured. Ronaldo is believed to have been left "furious" after being told that he would not be in the squad for the clash at the Etihad Stadium, which led to him going back to his homeland Portugal for training.
Manchester United are currently level with Atletico Madrid at 1-1 on aggregate in their last-16 tie. They will qualify for the quarter-finals next Tuesday by either keeping a clean sheet in the second leg or by winning it.
Meanwhile, in the Premier League, the club is one point behind Arsenal -- fifth in the standings. While the Gunners have three games in hand, Rangnick’s side need to plan winning strategies, they have a scheduled home game against Tottenham on Saturday.
Ronaldo maintained his reputation in the first half of the season as a legendary goalscorer. He has scored 15 goals in all competitions since his return. However, he suffered on a dreadful run of goalscoring with just one netted ball in his last 10 matches.
