Retired UFC champion Conor McGregor finds himself in a heap of trouble once more, accused of sexual assault while the Irishman was on vacation at the holiday island Corsiva. The 32-year-old allegedly showed off his manhood to a married woman at the time and the mixed martial arts fighter ended up getting arrested.
Initially, it appeared McGregor had no escape to the charges. He even posted disturbing tweets on Twitter that have now been deleted. Some folks were able to take screenshots of them. Now, it appears The Notorious was able to gather his thoughts and is back to his fighting self. McGregor is ready to fight this issue on, calling the allegations as “bullsh*t” and that he will not pay a single dime to the vicious lies, TMZ reported.
"Try set me up all yous f*cking want over and over and over the truth will always set me free! Be it baby father claims, rape, indecent exposure, bullsh*t WhatsApp group sh*t. You f*cking name it. Never will I fold!" McGregor wrote in his private Facebook wall. "The truth is the truth and it gives me wings. I know my character!"
An examination of key physical tests is underway although France 3 Corse was able to talk to some friends of the victim. If the results of the exams turn out positive, McGregor could be re-arrested for due to sexual assault and indecent exposure.
"Never will a dime be paid to anyone coming at me with vicious lies! Not now not f*cking ever! I will fight! And I am only beginning my fight!" McGregor added.
Controversy is nothing new for the Irishman who is technically retired from the UFC. He has had several encounters in the past. This includes two alleged sexual assaults in Dublin and there was the case where he punched an old man in the head in August 2019.
Either way, this appears to be a battle that will append McGregor’s long list of forgettable cases outside the Octagon. For now, all he can do is wait for the results to see if these allegations will prosper or die.
