Several produced and upcoming video game movies will be converging at this month's San Diego Comic-Con for a panel called "Video Games to Movies: Is The Golden Age Upon Us?"

According to Deadline, the panelists include "Hitman," "Deus Ex" and "Kane & Lynch" producer Adrian Askarieh, Blur Studio's Tim Miller (the director attached to the "Deadpool" movie), "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li" screenwriter Justin Marks, EA Entertainment VP Patrick J. O'Brien (whose title "Need for Speed" is being turned into a movie for DreamWorks), "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" director Kevin Tancharoen, and Deus Ex screenwriter C. Robert Cargill.
We already know Capcom USA, Inc. and Assassin's Fist Limited have announced that they have signed an agreement to produce a live-action series based on Capcom's successful Street Fighter game franchise.

And we know the live-action movie version of the cops-versus-cars "Need For Speed" video game series is set to hit the big screen next February, and Dreamworks Studios has released a video taking us behind the scenes of its upcoming flick.
Director Scott Waugh shows off some of the movie's early stages of production, which include plenty of car chases and crashes. A couple of actors have been attached to the film including Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad") as Tobey Marshall, Imogen Poots, Dominic Cooper ("My Week With Marilyn") as Dino, Kid Cudi as Benny, Rami Malek as Finn, Michael Keaton ("Batman") and Harrison Gilbertson.

The panel is slated for Thursday, July 18, at the Hilton Bayfront's Indigo Ballroom.
