‘Cobra Kai’ Season 5 Rumors: Kreese Imprisonment Will Tell Heavily On Tory Nichols

One of the polarizing characters in “Cobra Kai” is Tory Nichols (Peyton List), someone best known for her feud with Samantha Larusso (Mary Mouser).

And for those who caught it on “Cobra Kai” season 4, Amanda LaRusso (Courtney Henggeler) also targeted Tory after the two teenage girls continued to snap at each other. However, most may have failed to recall that there was one main antagonist who also figured in helping Nichols.

He was no other than John Kreese (Martin Kove). This was the time when Tory lost her job and struggled to earn a living. It was that scene that triggered something in the “Cobra Kai” practitioner who stood up against the LaRusso girls.

But as most know, things changed a bit towards the end of season 4. Tory was able to get some guidance from Kreese and bested Samantha LaRusso. However, the twist was Tory proved she could stand on her own and savor success.

No less than List admitted that there was a bond with Kreese being a parental figure to her character. With not much guidance, the arrest of Kreese after being framed by former buddy Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) is expected to have some bearing on her character.

Tory could be back to her old ways and get out of control. She may get lost with no parental guidance. Then again, there is also a chance that Tory could mature – especially considering she learned that her win was half-baked against Samantha.

In all, Terry Nichols will have an interesting story in “Cobra Kai” season 5. With Kreese behind bars, the pressure will be on her. She will be put to the test, something that could evolve her character further.

“Cobra Kai” season 5 is about a week away, unraveling new storylines that include that of Tory Nichols. The new season premieres Sept. 9 on Netflix.
