Christina Aguilera is taking her coaching role on “The Voice” very seriously. Although the fiery songstress will not be returning for season 11 of the NBC reality singing competition, she is determined to share her expertise with the rest of the world in a new project called “MasterClass.”
“Excited that today I’m opening enrollment for my singing MasterClass,” Xtina wrote on Facebook. “I can’t wait to share my process and love of music with you. Class I now in session!”
In a video posted on “MasterClass’s” social media sites, the 35-year-old performer explained she will be giving other singers advice on vibrato, breath control, power, confidence, high notes, riffing, pitch, stamina and range, to name a few.
“This class is for all the artists out there trying to find their voice,” Aguilera said in a press release. “I’m proud to share through ‘MasterClass’ my love of music and all of the vocal techniques I’ve learned throughout the years.”
Cofounder and creative director, Aaron Rasmussen, explained that from the moment he started working with Christina, he knew they were creating something special.
“Her abundance of knowledge combined with the unique technology featured in her in her class, such as the vocal range finder, is an incredible package that we can’t wait to share with the singers around the world,” he said.
During an interview with Parade, the Team Xtina’s coach confessed that it was her involvement in the talent show what inspire her to come up with this incredible idea.
“Working so many seasons on ‘The Voice’ made me realize the passion I had for mentoring fellow singers,” she disclosed. “And helping artists to grow and further themselves in their craft.” She continued, “ I know I speak for others when I say that there is always that one person in your life, be it someone that you worked under, or someone that inspired you, who said something that changed your path, that made you believe in your hard work. I wanted to be that person to someone else.”
