Relations between Frida Sofía and her mother, singer Alejandra Guzmán, have long been marked by complications and turmoil. It all started when Frida was sent to the U.S. following an attempted kidnapping. However, it seems that Christian Estrada shattered their bond into irreparable pieces, leaving them estranged for over five years.

While her mother's decision to send her away played a significant role in their strained relationship, other events over the years, including like an alleged love triangle between them, have deepened the rift.

Frida Sofía claims that her mother and her ex-boyfriend, model and reality TV personality Christian Estrada, were romantically involved while she and Christian were still together. But what really happened, and how did this scandal unfold?

The story of Christian Estrada and Frida Sofía

Christian Estrada, the brother of designers Antonio and Jesús Estrada, first met Frida Sofía in 2018 during one of Alejandra Guzmán's shows. Christian later admitted he was immediately attracted to Frida, and the two quickly began a relationship.

They often shared details about their romance on social media, where followers witnessed their apparent affection.

Their relationship ended abruptly in February 2019, leaving fans stunned. Frida took to social media to share some details about their breakup.

"The only thing I took from Universal Studios with my stupid boyfriend was this [a bottle opener]. Not that he was really my boyfriend— I always suspected his sexual preferences."

Shortly after, Frida made a bombshell accusation: Christian had been romantically involved with her mother, Alejandra Guzmán.

Frida Sofía's abortion

Amid the controversy, Christian revealed that during his brief relationship with Frida, she had become pregnant but decided to have an abortion. This revelation shocked many, leading to public backlash against Frida. She defended her decision, citing Christian's alleged infidelity and selfish motives.

"I'm not a murderer—I'm conscious. I took the pill at six weeks when I realized the man who got me pregnant was staying in hotels with my own mother...That scoundrel would have just tried to take my baby away, claiming I'm crazy," Frida declared.

Christian addressed the issue on the morning show 'Hoy,' denying the accusations and maintaining he cared for Frida.

"Frida will always be someone I care for deeply. I have nothing bad to say about her because she was never bad to me. There was a big scandal, but it doesn't affect me. People can think what they want—I know who I am, but I'm not gay."

Christian also denied any romantic involvement with Alejandra Guzmán, insisting their relationship was strictly professional.

However, reports surfaced that he had serenaded Alejandra for her birthday in New York while Frida was in Miami undergoing the abortion. Christian admitted to the gesture but claimed Frida had approved it.

Later, Christian and Alejandra were seen together in Los Angeles, supposedly for business related to her career and his brothers' work with her team.

Frida, however, questioned the plausibility of their "business meetings," sarcastically commenting, "You don't handle work matters on a beach or a yacht."

Frida and Alejandra appeared to reconcile in 2018, sharing moments together on social media. However, the alleged love triangle with Christian Estrada reignited tensions and drove them apart once again.

Christian moved on to star in the reality show 'Guerreros 2020,' where he met María "Ferka" Fernanda Quiroz. The two began a relationship, had a child, but eventually broke up. Despite the ongoing controversies, Christian's career in television continues, while Frida Sofía and Alejandra Guzmán remain estranged.
