Chris Brown was arrested early this morning and charged with felony assault in Washington D.C. CBS reports. According to police spokesperson Paul Metcalf, the 24-year-old singer was involved in a physical altercation near the W Hotel on K and 15th street at approximately 4.25 am local time. Details on the condition of the adult male victim have not been released, however the police department did state that "he's alive." A 35-year-old male, Chris Hollosy, was also arrested and charged in regards to the incident. Brown and Hollosy are being held in custody until Monday.
Chris Brown's publicists and attorney, Mark Geragos, has not responded to any queries yet. According to TMZ, the R&B singer was not under the influence of any substances. Brown is no stranger to dealing with the police. In 2009, he was arrested for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna and placed on probation. The probabtion was reinstated in August after he was involved in an alleged hit-and-run accident. The singer has recently canceled events in Canada following concerns about his health: Brown suffered a seizure earlier this month.
TMZ reports that the victim suffered a broken nose and may ned surgery. Apparently the unnamed male was trying to get on Chris' tour bus: 2 girls tried to get their picture taken with Brown when the two men, including the alleged victim, interrupted the photo and tried to get on the tour bus. The site reports that the the man will be pressing charges against the R&B singer. The sources say 2 girls tried to get on the bus to have their picture taken with Chris but they were blocked, and that's when the two men -- including the alleged victim -- tried getting on. Allegedly, Brown said to the man which he attacked "I'm not into this gay s**t, I'm into boxing".
