When the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls resume their playoff series Monday night in New York, the Nets will be fighting to keep their season alive.

Trailing 3-1 following a tough triple-overtime loss in Game 4, Brooklyn hopes the home crowd provides some added energy moving forward.

Game 5 of the 2013 NBA East Conference Playoffs will tip at 7pm, EDT and can be seen on TNT television. Local networks CSN-C in Chicago and WWOR-BKN in the Brooklyn area will also provide coverage of the game.

After losing a 14-point lead late in Game 4, Brooklyn eventually fell to the Bulls 142-134 in one of the most entertaining games this season. The Nets weren't able to get key defensive stops when needed and did not convert from the free throw line in crucial situations during Game 4, allowing Chicago and guard Nate Robinson to steal the game.

Knowing they're in a win-or-go-home situation, Brooklyn can't afford to dwell on the collapse.

"I think they are acutely aware of the mistakes that we made," Nets coach P.J. Carlesimo said to NBA.com reporters. "They'll be enough motivation. They're not going to forget what happened on Saturday, but I don't think we need it. We need to dwell on Monday, not Saturday."

Nate Robinson torched the Nets on Saturday, pouring in 34 points on 14-of-23 shooting from the floor. Leading the comeback late in regulation with the Bulls down by double-digits, Robinson made key baskets down the stretch. Scoring 29 of his 34 points after the third quarter, the Bulls got a much-needed lift from the smallest guy on the team.

While the thrilling Saturday victory gives Chicago a 3-1 lead and tons of confidence, closing out the Nets in Brooklyn will not be an easy task.

"They're going to be in their building, so they're going to have juice and energy from the crowd," Bulls forward Carlos Boozer told NBA reporters. 'We just have to stay focused, poised, tighten up our defense."

The crowd Monday night at the Barclays Center will surely be loud and energetic as they cheer on their Nets with hopes of seeing a Game 6. Timely baskets for Brooklyn coupled with key defensive stops - stops they failed to make late in regulation and in overtime of Game 4 - will help Brooklyn defend home court and keep their season alive - at least for one more game.

Be sure to catch the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, Monday night at 7pm, EDT on TNT television.
