Lately, there have been many rumors about the health condition of Roberto Gómez Bolaños, also known as Chespirito. The actor and comedian is 85 and for the past six months has been battling a deteriorating health. His daughter, Graciela Gómez Fernández, recently spoke out and said that the media has exaggerated her father’s condition. She said Chespirito has been resting in his home in Cancún and his condition doesn’t present anything complicated or anything that any 85-year-old wouldn’t have.
After her comments, she was bombarded by fans on social media, asking her to keep them updated and to post pictures to make sure he was still alive and kicking. She pleased the fans and wrote a few tweets saying that Chespirito was doing “very well” and thanking the fans for all the love. Graciela also wrote that she was next to him enjoying a nice chat with her father. She added that he didn’t let her take a picture because he was very entertained watching “fútbol” (soccer) while she was watching “Por Siempre Mi Amor.”
It seems that Chespirito’s sport of choice was over because Graciela later tweeted that he joined her to watch the telenovela. However, it was just a little break before the other soccer match started. Graciela then added that her father was back in his bed ready to watch the America play (famous Mexican soccer team). And finally, just before the game began, she was finally able to share a picture of Chespirito. He looked calm, relaxed and in a good mood.
