Charytin Goyco is promoting her her new theatrical play "Los Monologos de la Vagina" in Miami. Although the TV personality has a lot to celebrate, she revealed some personal news regarding her husband Elin Ortiz to the press.
The 66-year-old Dominican star, who's been married with Ortiz ---an actor and producer from Puerto Rico--- for 41 years, stated that for the past four years her husband has been suffering from advanced Alzheimer's Disease. "Elin is a physically strong man, but mentally, he's not," she opened up about the long and tough process reports TVyNovelas. Charytin, who is known for her charismatic personality, is keeping strong with her situation back home.
"He smiles with me all the time, but he stays quiet, he doesn't recognize me, but he knows that I'm there," she confessed, adding that she's sure that in his heart he knows who she is. The Caribbean actress also talked about the two Cuban women who live in her house and assist her husband. "Thanks to them, I can work and give Elin a quality life," she said, revealing that Ortiz hasn't worked for the past 15 years.
