Charytín Goyco has been dropped from her TV show just a year after returning to the small screen and will be replaced by singer Albita Rodríguez. The announcement came from MegaTV, the channel which hosts the "Charytín y Felipe" show from Monday to Friday at 9/8PM Central. The show will now be hosted by Albita, while Felipe Viel will continue his duties as host. Until Septmeber last year, the show was simply called "Charytín."
"Charytín Goyco will be returning to her music career and as part of promoting her new album which will be released in the next few months," said the press release from MegaTV. "She will be undertaking an extensive promotional tour with her new muscial project." However, according to Huffington Post Voces, the 'Rubia de America's contract was due to expire in the next few days and the TV station decided not to renew, opting instead for Albita.
Albita Rodríguez confirmed the news saying, "I am extremely happy with the opportunity given to me by the SBS-MegaTV familiy. I am feeling so hopefuly, wit hthe feeling that we are moving with our best foot forward, beginning a new harmonious path that is going to bring us a great deal of satisfaction...I am going to share the hosting of the show with Felipe Viel and we will keep on doing what we have been doing to satisfy the expectations of our great audience."
