The first slate of games in the 2013 Champions League will take place on September 17 and as the start of the highly-anticipated league season approaches, each of the 32 clubs involved learned what groups they'll be in this year. Eight groups consisting of 4 teams were unveiled on Thursday, August 29 in Monaco and because multiple groups set up to hold premier matchups down the road, the 2013-2014 UEFA Champions League season could shape up to be one of the most entertaining in recent memory.
Bayern Munich captured the 2012-2013 championship and as they return with a slew of talent, the Bundesliga club find themselves in a group with English Premier League affiliate Manchester City. Last season's runner-up Borussia Dortmund may have the toughest route to the final even though they still possess premier scorer Robert Lewandowski. Representing Group F, Dortmund will enter group stage with an Arsenal club that finished fourth in the English Premier League last season while Serie A club Napoli and Ligue 1 squad Olympique Marseille round out the pool.
