Chad Johnson is no stranger to publicity - good or bad. A highly productive receiver for most of his NFL career, the former Oregon State star has never been afraid to voice his opinions and will always be remembered for his lavish end zone celebrations that sometimes included props.

Johnson is making headlines once again this week but this time, for all the right reasons.

Upon meeting a homeless man over the weekend, Johnson treated his new friend PorkChop to a weekend of shopping, boozing and clubbing. The former Cincinnati Bengals star even documented the 48-hour affair on his Twitter account.

As FOX Sports reported, Saturday started with the 35-year-old giving his new friend a G-shock watch since he had no previous way of telling time. Following a car ride where they listened to a variety of music on Johnson's iPhone, the two stopped at Urban Outfitters for some clothes shopping.

Purchasing PorkChop a completely new wardrobe, the current NFL free agent took his newest pal to a popular nightclub where they drank, danced and interacted with a variety of women inside.

Johnson spearheaded the opportunity to help someone in need after seeing a smiliar act done on the television show Keeping up with the Kardashians. In one episode, sister Khloe and Kourtney help a homeless man get dental treatment, a new wardrobe and even put him up in a hotel.

The NFL wide receiver took his act a few steps further actually spending one-on-one time with the gentleman.

Say what you want about Chad Johnson, even if he was doing this for added publicity since he's struggled to find an NFL job following his departure from the Miami Dolphins in 2012, Johnson gave someone who had very little a weekend of bliss and normalcy.

While it remains to be seen if any NFL team will offer Johnson a chance to land a roster spot, the superstar can at least hang his hat on the fact that he did something very classy for someone who was obviously very appreciative.

Since being selected in Round 2 of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, Johnson has been to six Pro Bowls and was named an NFL All-Pro receiver on three separate occasions.

With over 750 receptions in his career, Johnson has totaled 11,059 receiving yards and 67 touchdowns.

No matter what happens with Johnson's career moving forward, it was great to see someone of his stature lend a helping hand.

Well done Chad.
