Cellphone footage has captured the tragic final moments of a fashion influencer who was swept away and killed in flash floodwaters in Brazil during heavy rains.

Severe rainfall struck Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, with 55mm of rain falling in just 30 minutes, CNN Brasil reported.

Jeniffer Soares Martins, 28, and her husband, Wallison Lima, were caught in the deluge when their car was struck by another vehicle, forcing them to walk and leave it behind.

Known for her social media presence, with over 80,000 followers on Instagram, Martins shared a post just hours before, captioned, "Tonight I'm going to be young."

As seen in footage, Martins and Lima clung to their car in waist-deep water as onlookers attempted a rescue using a ladder that could not reach them.

The couple was swept away moments after the video ended. Martins' body was found roughly 300 meters from the scene after she drowned and suffered multiple traumas.

Despite heavy rains, authorities have stated that the situation in Uberlândia is now under control, with no major disruptions to infrastructure.

Martins' husband, who survived the ordeal, expressed his grief on social media, while her family and followers mourned the loss of a vibrant personality. Her funeral took place the same day at Bom Pastor Cemetery in Uberlândia.

"The hole you leave, Jeniffer, will be immeasurable. We will forever feel your joy and the love you have spread wherever you have been," Martin's family said of her loss.
