Netflix confirmed that the popular anime series, “Castlevania,” will end with season 4, which will conclude on May 13, 2021. However, the creators stated that a new series might take its place within the same universe.
The streaming platform will be eyeing a key series within the “Castlevania” timeline, introducing a new wave of characters.
But fans are left to speculate what the fourth installment might bring. For one, season 3 ended with Alucard impaling Taka and Sumi and might assume a darker path in season 4.
Trevor Belmont destroyed the Visitor and found out that the dying Judge was killing children for pleasure. He, Sypha, and Saint Germain decided to leave Lindenfeld.
Meanwhile, Carmilla enslaved Hector, so she and her sisters might call on the night creatures to be loyal to them.
Hector and Isaac had an exciting rivalry, but, if season 4 will have to follow the “Castlevania: Curse of Darkness” plot, Hector will prevail over Isaac. And, where will Hector’s arc with Julia, Isaac’s sister, leave? For now, fans sense a tingly dynamism between Hector and Lenore.
“Castlevania” was launched in July 2017 as an adult animated streaming television series after “F Is For Family.” It earned the praise of critics and audiences alike since its broadcast. Its second installment even held a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes since 2018.
Not only the fans are guessing what season 4 might bring, but they can’t help but wonder what this new series will be. “Castlevania” might follow another Belmont’s storyline, and there are tons to choose from.
There’s the arc on Christopher and Soleil Belmont, descendants of Trevor, from “Castlevania: The Adventure” and “Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge.”
There’s also the popular choice of Simon Belmont who heads more gameplay than other Belmont characters. As the face of the “Castlevania” franchise, fans would be overjoyed to see the Belmont “who started it all.”
“Castlevania” also has a couple of alternate timelines creators might consider. Kid Dracula and Garamoth are one rift interesting to watch.
For now, fans can only wait what season 4 holds and what Easter eggs there might be to point the audience to the new anime series.
