After dividing the royal family by breaking away from Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now splitting from Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have yet to confirm their split from the Prince of Wales, but the Clarence House website’s non-inclusion of Prince Harry and Meghan seems to confirm that the royal couple no longer wants to be under Prince Charles’ control.

The recruitment tab of the Clarence House website previously included staff vacancies for Prince William and Kate, Prince Harry and Meghan and Prince Charles and Camilla. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were previously listed at the top of the site, but their names are now gone. Prince William and Kate, however, are still on the page.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan had stumped Buckingham Palace aides in an attempt to split from Prince Charles. With their names now missing on Clarence House’s website, it looks like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex indeed want to go their own way.

“He wants to control everything and everyone he’s involved with,” a source said of Prince Harry. “How he’s going to pay for it is another question,” the source added.

Prince Harry and Meghan’s apparent split from Prince Charles is now raising questions about the royal couple’s funding. Prior to the split, all the costs of Prince Harry’s office and his royal duties were met by a stipend from the Prince of Wales, with Prince William and Prince Harry reportedly sharing about £4 million a year. However, Harry’s split from Prince Charles means that he’s getting rid of his father’s financial support.

Without Prince Charles’ support, Prince Harry and Meghan will need to turn to Queen Elizabeth for funding. It remains to be seen, however, if Queen Elizabeth can give them the same amount of funding as Prince Charles does since she already has a long list of people to support.

The breaking apart of the royal family started on Meghan’s first year as a royal, when she allegedly made Kate cry during the dress fitting for her wedding. She also reportedly infuriated the senior royals when she criticized St. George’s Chapel for its musty smell and asked royal aides for air fresheners during their wedding. After a year of being married, Prince Harry and Meghan separated from Kensington Palace, dividing the “Fab Four” of the royal family.
