Camilla Parker-Bowles Health Condition: Duchess Cancels Engagement With Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has been dealing with a health scare these past few days. Because of this, the Duchess had to pull out of all her Remembrance Day engagements this week.

Duchess Camilla was scheduled to visit the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey yesterday with Prince Harry and Meghan. However, her doctor ordered her to cancel at the last minute, leaving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to attend the engagement without her.

On Thursday, Clarence House released a statement to address the growing concern of royal followers over Camilla’s health. A spokesperson from the House revealed that the Duchess of Cornwall had to cancel all her engagements as her doctor had ordered.

“The Duchess of Cornwall has been told by her doctor to cancel her engagements owing to a chest infection which has got progressively worse over the last few days,” said the spokesperson. She also added that Camila was deeply disappointed that she was not able to accompany Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the Field of Remembrance service earlier this week.

As the Patron of the Poppy Factory where Remembrance Poppies are made, Camilla was, reportedly, excited to join Prince Harry and Meghan at Westminster Abbey yesterday. Understandably, it broke her heart when her doctor told her she should pull out of all her engagements and stay at home.

Yesterday at Westminster Abbey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted arriving together and heading towards the field of red poppies. At the field, Prince Harry led the planting of the Cross of Remembrance while Meghan followed suit. The Duke of Duchess of Sussex then paid their respects and observed two minutes of silence.

Meanwhile, the last time Camilla appeared in public was on Wednesday, when she went out with Prince Charles to visit a farmers’ market in London. Royal followers who saw her noted that the Duchess of Cornwall was incessantly coughing the entire time she was at the market. She was also coughing as she approached a cheese seller to have a conversation with her.

It remains unknown until when Camilla Parker-Bowles will be off from her royal duties but considering her health condition, royal followers cannot expect her to be out again anytime soon.
