It's no secret that Microsoft and Activision have had a little fling in the past and it seems like the relationship between these two powerhouse companies will continue with the worldwide Xbox Reveal launch May 21.

Reports are suggesting that during this reveal event held by Xbox we will see a release date for Call of Duty: Ghost along with the next gen Xbox 720.
Since 2009 Microsoft and Activision have had an agreement to give exclusive add ons and map packages to Xbox 360 users before any other console. So why wouldn't Activision continue a deal with the gaming company this time around.
The deal in context actually helps both sides. Microsoft has the following with most multiplayers online and Activision with a huge Call of Duty following. It's a match made in heaven. Check out the press release below:

(Nasdaq: ATVI) and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) announced today a multi-year agreement that will continue to bring Call of Duty(R) game add ons and map packs first to Xbox LIVE online entertainment network. The news was revealed today to a capacity-crowd at Microsoft's Xbox 360 E3 press conference in Los Angeles. The agreement which began in 2009 now extends for all add ons and map packs from the mega-blockbuster Call of Duty(R) franchise through 2012, including Call of Duty(R): Black Ops, the follow up to the largest entertainment launch in history and one of the most-anticipated titles of the year set for release Nov. 9th.

Call of Duty titles consistently rank atop Xbox LIVE's most-played charts, making it the largest Call of Duty community of any entertainment system.

This time around COD: Ghost is being developed by Infinity Ward which is the same studio to produce the original Call of Duty and the Modern Warfare series.
With every COD launch the game has consistently beat game sales records every year and this year will be no different. The latest installment of Call of Duty is expected to continue with the trend.
