Some causes are just lost from the beginning, and not even a superhero can make them happen.

Case in point: Led Zeppelin. The legendary band, which played their last concert in London in 2007, refused the suggestion of the former president to play together for the Superstorm Sandy benefit concert in New York City.

According to a "60 Minutes Overtime" segment, David Saltzman of the Robin Hood Foundation -- the organization behind the benefit -- polled Clinton on the idea. The former president then met with surviving Led Zeppelin surviving members Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page in Washington, D.C. and presented them with the idea. The band simply said no.

As disappointing as the refusal might have been to Clinton, Zeppelin were alone in their deflection. Fellow rock legends Rolling Stones did show up at the Sandy benefit, albeit for a short two-song quickie.
