United States President Joe Biden has a lot of things on his plate but prefers to name qualified people to take office. However, that will exclude any family member or relative, stressing that he plans to run his administration similar to the one when Obama and Biden did from 2008 to 2016.

While he did not directly mention the name of former President Donald Trump’s daughter, most saw it as a jab against Ivanka Trump. Most will recall that the 39-year-old served as one of the advisers of Trump.

“We’re going to run this like the Obama-Biden administration. No one in our family and extended family is going to be involved in any government undertaking or foreign policy. And nobody has an office in this place,” Biden said to People magazine in an interview on Wednesday.

It was not clear if it was a direct hit on Ivanka or Donald Trump for that matter. To recall, Ivanka had her chief of staff and an office at the West Wing. However, most called it as something more of walking into an “Apple Store.”

Also, the move to appoint Ivanka did not sit well with some. That included Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who said that being someone’s daughter should not be a career qualification.

"Being someone's daughter actually isn't a career qualification," Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said. "It hurts our diplomatic standing when the president phones it in (and) the world moves on."

Also worth noting is that Trump had plans to elevate her daughter to a bigger role. That included considering her to be his vice-presidential running mate. Ivanka Trump quashed the idea although most feel that the future may hold something different.

Speculations are growing that Ivanka may be plotting her political plans, CNN reported. That includes possibly running for Florida Governor. Ivanka’s move to Washington was deemed a political maneuver and that she will run for “something.”

Given that Trump had hinted that saw Ivanka as someone who would be hard to beat if she ran for president, there is a growing belief that this could be in the cards.
