Ben Affleck Celebrated 4th Of July With Seraphina, Samuel But Without Violet, Jennifer Garner

Ben Affleck celebrated the 4th of July with his two children, Seraphina and Samuel. However, his eldest daughter, Violet, and ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, didn’t attend the festivities.

The “Batman V Superman” star was also photographed with his adorable dog. In the snap, Samuel is walking beside his dad while Seraphina is walking a few steps behind them. The trio attended the annual Independence Day parade in Los Angeles.

Affleck wore a blue, red and white checkered polo that is reminiscent of the American flag. His daughter, Seraphina, also looked adorable in her rainbow-colored shirt and American flag bandana. Samuel looked casual in his grey shirt and black shorts.

Visibly absent from the parade was Affleck’s teenage daughter Violet. It is possible that she stayed home with her mom. Last week, Garner revealed that she has been having "problems" with her three children.

On her Instagram account, the doting mom said that her three kids love reading books so much that they no longer watch where they are going. Garner uploaded a photo of a man holding on to his book until he fell in the pool.

Affleck and Garner have been co-parenting their three children ever since they divorced last year. During an interview with “Today,” Affleck said that his main commitment is to raising his kids in a friendly manner with his ex-wife.

“I hope I’m a pretty good dad,” Affleck said. “I certainly try very hard. I’m lucky they got a great mom and she helps out a great deal with making sure we co-parent in as good a way as possible. Dads are so important to kids, and it’s our responsibility to be there for them, to be present, to be mindful, to be attentive, to be part of their lives, to be as in it as moms,” he added.

Affleck and Garner separated in 2015 amid rumors that the actor was flirting with their children’s nanny, Christine Ouzounian. However, a rep for Affleck told US Weekly that the allegations were baseless.

Two years later, Affleck revealed that he checked into rehab for his addiction. His divorce was finalized one year later.
