It has been ages since the best times for Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and their blossoming love. The scenario’s just too good to think about that some publications are reporting that a reconciliation is in the horizon now that Affleck is back to being sober. How true is this?

Gossip Girl fanned the flames by verifying that the stories simply aren’t true. The culprit is the tabloid Life & Style, which fabricated a story about their “second chance at love.” Upon consulting the actor’s spokesperson, the site learned that the two are truly on good terms, but love isn’t coming into the picture anytime soon.

What the tabloid got right, though, is the former Batman’s celebration of one year of being sober after he checked into rehab to undergo treatment for alcohol addiction. He’s in a better place in his life and is successfully “co-parenting” his three kids, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, with Garner.

Life & Style isn’t the only outlet that fantasizes about “Ben-Jen.” In March, Star alleged that “sparks flew” between the exes when they attended a friend’s wedding in Los Angeles.

“It seemed like old times,” the fake insider said. “It spurred Ben to make a second proposal, ‘Marry me again!’”

The truth is, Garner has been dating Cali Group CEO John Miller since last year. In February, the two were seen having a romantic dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California. A source told ET that the two are now “serious” and are okay with each other’s kids. Miller has two kids with his violinist ex-wife, Caroline Campbell.

“Jen feels so lucky to have met John and their relationship only continues to grow,” he shared. “The both wanted to take it slow, but it has gotten serious and they couldn’t be happier,” the insider continued.

As for Affleck and Garner, their chapter already closed two years ago — exactly in May 2017, when they signed divorce papers pointing to irreconcilable differences as the reason. What matters, in spite of everything, is the welfare of their kids, which remains okay because of the good relationship they maintained.
