Rumor mills clearly have a thing for Bradley Cooper. But, turns out, much of what’s conjured up is plain bogus— the dating rumors surrounding Ana de Armas, for instance.
Not too long ago, reports of things getting steamy between Cooper and Lady Gaga surfaced (post their gush-worthy performance in the last Oscars). But, Gossip Cop was quick to spring into action and gun down the false reports. And now, the latest rumor surrounding Cooper is his alleged dalliance with the upcoming star.
The paparazzi spotted de Armas and Cooper enjoying a great conversation at the pre-Golden Globes luncheon in January. Unsurprisingly, this got tongues wagging. And, National Enquirer rustled up a tale on how the two were an item and had begun seeing each other secretly. An unidentified source claims of sparks flying and there being an evident streak of chemistry between the two.
Soon after, another tabloid decided to take things up a notch and brought forth a report of Cooper inviting de Armas over for dinner. Things didn’t stop at that. The publication quoted a supposed source stating, “Cooper likes Ana a lot. She’s very fun and outspoken. Bradley’s already invited her over for dinner to catch up.” The report was deemed fabricated as reliable sources close to Cooper has vehemently brushed aside the rumors.
The “secretly dating” rumors skyrocketed in August last year. But this time, tabloids decided to give Cooper a break. Armas’s “Deep Water” co-star Ben Affleck was roped into the drama, this time around.
In another report, a tabloid’s questionable source revealed, “Ben speaks fluent Spanish and he used it to woo Ana when they first met last month. Now he’s telling pals he’s intoxicated by her.” And, just when folks thought things ended there, another report surfaced with an interesting angle: Affleck was apparently falling head over heels in love with de Amaras, and was clearly smitten.
Just when people began to believe everything that was being churned out, Gossip Cop sprang to action and decided to brush aside the rumors with the real truth— Affleck’s spokespersons clearly maintained that there was little truth in any of the dating rumors that that were floating around. de Armas isn’t remotely interested in any of her co-stars, and is focused on her work as she has two major releases lined up in 2020—the next installment in the James Bond franchise, "No Time To Die in April" and "Deep Water" in November.
