Bella Hadid, The Weeknd Break Up! Proof That Long-Distance Relationships Don’t Work?

Bella Hadid and The Weeknd have broken up, yet again. Is this because long-distance relationships, in general, do not work? Maybe, maybe not. On their part, physical distance is not the only issue.

After Bella Hadid’s sister Gigi was linked to Tyler Cameron of “The Bachelorette,” leading to all sorts of reactions, Bella herself is now in the limelight for her love life as well. Apparently, she and her on-off boyfriend The Weeknd, decided to call it quits again, as reported by E! News.

The reason is nothing special nor juicy, at least in the realm of Hollywood. Like every other couple who decided they could not stay together, the two is reportedly finding it hard to maintain their relationship because they could not sync their work schedules.

Moreover, distance has aggravated their problems significantly. As they individually strive towards their goals, with The Weeknd allegedly wanting to become an actor while Hadid is preparing for her myriad of fashion week commitments, not being able to see each other has caused them to broke up. By distance, therefore, it means being “in different places right now, physically and mentally,” the E! source said.

The source also revealed that the physical distance they have is particularly detrimental to them because they were on “opposite times.” Other people in long-distance relationships can make it work, but for these two busybodies, just calling each other can be a struggle. As Bella and The Weeknd could not communicate openly and frequently, a lot of tension ensues. The source also revealed that as a result, arguments happen a lot more than they should and the quality time they spent together in the past months has been very little.

However, this does not mean all hope is lost. Since they had broken up several times in the past and reunited in the end, one can surmise they can do so again. "They hope to get back together at one point but for now are focusing on themselves and their projects,” the source of E! revealed.

Entertainment Tonight also echoed this hopeful news. Another source said that the two are still together and working through their issues. "[They] are working through things like normal couples do," the source said. "The couple travels a lot, works a lot and that often creates tension,” the source added. The insider claimed that their love is so strong that they want to really make this work.
