It's the end of an era for "Primer Impacto" as long time host Bárbara Bermudo has been axed from the tabloid show after he contract was not renewed. The 41-year-old presenter had been with the Univision program since 2002.

“Bárbara Bermudo’s contract was not renewed and she will leave her co-hosting role of ‘Primer Impacto,’” a Univision executive told People En Español. “We appreciate Bárbara’s input and we wish her the best.”
The website also reports that there will be more announcements soon about the future plans of the show.
Bermudo has a long history with the hard news program. She came in when original presenter María Celeste left to Telemundo to start “Al Rojo Vivo.” Bárbara co-hosted with Myrka Dellanos, the other founding host, for a couple of years before she left to pursue other projects as well. Through the years she had several co-hosts, with Pamela Silva Conde her most recent one.
Just a day ago the journalist hinted at a big change in her life when she posted a cryptic photo and message on Instagram.
“Ready to dominate and only add good things”, she captioned the pic of a calculator and a notebook with the words “plans for world domination. She also added hashtags like “determination,” “new goals” and “mega project.”
With the vast experience Bárbara Bermudo has, it is not going to be hard for her to find a new endeavor and all of her fans will surely continue to follow her. What are your thoughts on Bárbara’s departure from “Primer Impacto”?
