Motherhood is nothing new for Barbara Bermudo, who is a mother of three adorable girls, including newborn daughter Sofia Andrea. With her busy full-time schedule as a mommy, the "Primer Impacto" host has developed great bedtime tricks and traditions of her own that can benefit other busy moms. With Mia Andrea, Camila Andrea and now Sofia Andrea, Bermudo is already a pro at bedtime!
The 40-year-old TV personality shared her favorite arrullo techniques and baby bedtime products to help new mommies. Arrullo, for those who may not know, is the Spanish word for lullaby and it's used to describe the process of setting the perfect ambience for putting a baby to sleep.
Check out some of Barbara's tips (courtesy of Target), including a few lessons for how to calm the nest for ample rest and sweet dreams.
1) Bedtime (for all our daughters) is filled with love, kisses and affection.
2) For the baby of the house, we dress her in her pajamas, with lavender scent, being sure to keep her bundled and secure.
3) We give her the pacifier if necessary.
4) We rock her in our arms in the chair, just how she likes it! For us, this moment is so intimate and it brings balance to our home.
5) We have to remember that a baby’s skin is very delicate. I have used lavender lotions and soaps with all of my girls.
6) The up & up™ Baby Nighttime bath wash and lotion are great because they help calm babies down so they can have sweet dreams.
7) Bedtime for Mia and Camila is the same routine ---they definitely can’t fall asleep without their night-light.
8) They change their favorite stuffed animals from time to time or swap amongst themselves.
9) They also keep their infamous baby blankets close at hand.
10) We sing to them or tell them stories and they love that. At bedtime, Mario and I shower them with love and kisses.
"For Mario and me, this moment is the cherry on top of our day that brings the family together. In other words, mission accomplished! Time to rest."
