A female bar worker in Barcelona has been seized by law enforcement in Spain after allegedly hacking off her boss's manhood during an attempted rape incident in her workplace at around midnight on Tuesday.

The unharmed woman, described as a Bangladeshi national in her thirties, told officers that she was doing her daily chores at the Sant Andreu de la Barca, near Barcelona, when her boss violently held her against her will and forced her to have sex with him.

Following futile attempts to resist the assault, the bar worker proceeded to grab a blade at the joint and moved to slice off the man's penis to ultimately ward him off. She immediately alerted police about the vicious attack and admitted to the knifing, which she justified as an act of self-defense, according to the New York Post.

The bar boss was rushed to Bellvitge Hospital, a public hospital in the town of l'Hospitalet de Llobregrat, for an emergency operation. However, it was not immediately clear Wednesday morning if doctors were able to reattach his penis.

The man, who is thought to be from Bangladesh or Pakistan, will be interrogated by police once he recovers from the surgery and may be arrested if enough evidence is found against him for the crime of sexual assault.

An investigation into the matter has been launched by police after the female bar worker alleged that her boss had been harassing her for months, coercing her to have sex with him multiple times, reported the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, in the South Shields town of England, the Newcastle Crown Court has heard that a female rape victim bit a taxi driver’s penis after he forced himself on her in his cab in 2019.

Jurors heard the drunk woman, who cannot be named for legal protection, had been out partying in South Shields, South Tyneside, in June 2019 and got into the cab of Malcolm Hancock, 55, from East Boldon after becoming separated from her friend, when the sexual attack happened.

The victim further noted that she bit the taxi driver's manhood in an attempt to get away from the assault but that the rape continued and the memory of the night was a bit hazy. Meanwhile, the 55-year-old driver strenuously dismisses the rape allegations, maintaining that it was the woman who became "sexually aggressive towards him," Metro.co.uk noted.

Following his arrest, Hancock, initially insisted he had "no idea" about the rape allegations before later asserting that the woman had invited him for sex. The driver accuses the victim of "grabbing and squeezing" his penis despite his refusal, jurors heard. The trial on the case is underway.
