In what will go down as another bizarre incident over in West Bengal, a baby goat was born with 8 legs and 2 hips. Photos of it spread over social media and locals wasted no time to try and get a glimpse of the baby goat.
The goat was born at a house of a woman named Saraswati Mondol in the Kalmegha area in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. She had a handful of goats, cows and other pets in the area.
Photos of the unusual creature were shot and the images unsurprisingly went viral. It was born on the morning of July 15 alongside another goat that was born normal.
Despite the death of the miracle goat, such did not stop others from trooping to the Mondol’s house to see the animal for themselves.
"This is the first time I have ever seen something like this. Almost five minutes after its birth, the baby goat died. However, the mother and the other baby are well," Mondol stated.
This comes roughly three months after the goat was born with a human-like face. It was in April when a mutant goat was born in Gujarat, with images and video clips also making its round online. It was born in Seltipada village on the banks of river Tapi in Songadh taluka.
In that case, the goat was born with four legs and two ears but no tail. But the noticeable thing about it was the goat having a forehead, eyes, mouth and a beard that resembled a human. It was born at the house of a farmer named Ajaybhai Vasava. It survived only 10 minutes before passing away.
But before that goat was buried, locals worshipped it. In India, it is common for mutant animals to attract attention with most believing it is a sign from god.
