The Apple Media Event may be over but there are still plenty of news regarding Apple products. Basically any product that did not start with or rhyme with iPhone was not spoken about at the September 10 Media Event by Apple. The tech and gadget company announced two long anticipated iPhones, the 5S and the 5C. It is possible that next month Apple could host another press event highlighting other innovations in time for the holiday season. One product that could receive an update as early as next week is Apple TV.
"People familiar with the company's plans say that Apple TV is scheduled for an internal overhaul on Sept. 18," writes allthingsD.com. The tech site then pointed out that September 18 is the same day as the iOS 7 release. AllthingsD.com explained one update they have heard about will be to Apple's AirPlay system. The site is reporting that the new software will allow users to play content they have purchased from the iTunes store on another person's television. "The key part is that they will be able to tell an Apple TV box they don't own to stream the media they do own, directly from the cloud," allthingsD.com writes.
Even though Apple did not highlight the update to Apple TV the company has continually made updates for the device. Most recently Apple added new apps to Vevo for the device such as The Weather Channel, Disney Channel and the Smithsonian Channel. Apple TV sells in traditional Apple retail stores and online for $99.
