With the highly anticipated release of 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' approaching, fans of the famed News Team are waiting for their chance to see the fantastic foursome grace the big screen once again. With familiar faces Ron Burgundy (played by Will Ferrell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), Champ Kind (David Koechner), Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) and others set to reprise their respective roles in the sequel, 'Anchorman 2' promises to continue on the path of hilarity while introducing fans of the news reporters to fresh faces and characters throughout the latest installment.
Leaving the 1970's as San Diego's top newscaster, Ron Burgundy is set to embark on his latest challenge as he'll attempt to add his own personal brand to New York's first 24-hour news channel. Coming along for the ride, Burgundy's legendary cast of Tamland (weather reporting), Fantana (lead field reporter) and Kind (sports anchor) will undoubtedly provide fans of the movie with plenty of laughter from start to finish. Significant appearances by Jim Carrey, Harrison Ford, Kristen Wiig, Liam Neeson, Sacha Baron Cohen and others will add to a star-studded cast as well.
Fans will also be happy to learn that Vince Vaughn - who portrayed the role of Ron Burgundy's network rival Wes Mantooth - will also return for the sequel, setting up the potential for a continued rivalry or a newfound relationship between the two. With Burgundy and company expected to need time to adapt to their new surroundings at New York's Global News Network, 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' will serve to be the perfect complement to its predecessor.
The film is set to hit theatres on December 20, 2013.
