Anahi is denying rumors that she called off the wedding with Chiapas Governor, Manuel Velasco. After a Mexican tabloid magazine published an article alleging that Velasco cheated on the former RBD singer, she took to Twitter to clear things up. "I am clearing things up again, IT'S A LIE. Manuel Velasco and I are very happy y more united than ever," she said. "I would love for you to know what a great man he is. I am happy!" The magazine also claimed that the 30-year-old singer will be getting married in May 2014 and had already taken a trip to New York to shop for her Vera Wang designed wedding gown. An insider told the tabloid that the reason for the rupture was due to Anahi's family always around, not giving them enough space. The source asserted that the popstar had moved out of Velasco's home and it had been three weeks since the breakup.
The rumors were lies as Anahi confirmed on Twitter. Hours later she posted a picture of herself and her fiancé with the caption that read, "Happily Ever After, I love you. Thank you for making a better version of myself. I would love for them to know the person you are. Their is only one truth... I am very happy." With her relationship rumors cleared up she also revealed one more detail to fans about her professional life. "Due to other upcoming projects, I am no longer the Fashion Director of Aviesta. Thank you for the learning experience and love," Anahi wrote. Aviesta offers the latest trends, the best styles and shoes at an affordable prize. Anahi was the Fashion Director and spokeswoman for the brand.
Ever since Anahi and Manuel Velasco's engagement, the singer and actress has taken a step back from the limelight and focusing on her relationship with the Mexican governor. In January, she released "Absurda" a song she co-wrote with Claudia Brant and Noel Schajris, as a "gift" to her fans. Her last credit in a telenovela was with Emilio Larrosa's "Dos Hogares," which was a major flop and was cut short. In this melodrama she co-starred with Carlos Ponce and Sergio Goyri in a primetime telenovela that did not make the cut.
