Ana María Canseco is set to join Telemundo morning show, "Un Nuevo Día." Starting September 9 her "échate pa'cá" catchphrase will be back on the small screen with the juciest celebrity gossip.
"I am so happy to be back on television in my new home, Telemundo, and to be part of the mornings of our audience that has followed me for so long and has shown me lots of love," Ana María said in a statement. "I love to be part of this great team and share the screen with my new colleagues to being Latinos happiness, good entertainment and fun."
Canseco joins "Un Nuevo Día" after Omar Germenos was fired and left a void in the panel. It is an interesting choice of casting as the show will now have five women as hosts: Adamari López, Rashel Díaz, Azucena Cierco and Alessandra Villegas. The sole male on the show will be Daniel Sarcos. Maybe Telemundo is preparing its own version of "The View?"
Ana María is best known for her hosting duties on Univision's "Despierta América," which she was part of for over 13 years. The Mexican host had struggled to get back on television until this past year when she was invited to co-host "Un Nuevo Día" for a couple of days. She also hosts a daily afternoon radio show titled "Echate Pa'Cá" on W Radio.
"Un Nuevo Día" airs weekdays on Telemundo starting at 7am ET/PT. What do you think of Ana María Canseco joining the show?
