Judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. gave their final word on Wednesday night when they named the 4 contestants that had secured a spot in the Top 10. Olivia Rox, Dalton Rapattoni, Trent Harmon and La’Porsha Renae were chosen to go to the next round automatically, and had the chance to sit back and enjoy their peers’ performances for the rest of the night.
Latino powerhouses, Manny Torres and Gianna Isabella, were the first ones to take the stage. Manny, who has managed to make it this far because of his charming personality, didn’t deliver the best version of Stevie Wonder’s “Master Blaster,” according to Urban. “I don’t know if that was the right song for you, but I will say that what I like about you is that you got this fiery spirit. You always come out, you have such a razz and energy about the way you perform, and I thought you delivered that tonight.”
On the other hand, Brenda K. Starr’s 15-year-old daughter managed to surprise the judges with a side of her they had never seen before. “Gianna, I love to watch you. We are all just so surprised by your sexiness there! You are like coming into your own!,” said JLo in excitement after watching Gianna Isabella’s rendition of Annie Lennox’s “I Put A Spell On You.”
Manny and Gianna’s future in the competition is now in the hands of America. Who will make it to the final 10? Don’t miss tonight’s episode with special-guest, Kelly Clarkson.
